Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Navigation, Targeting & Survivability (NT&S) Division is seeking a Manager Capital and Bus Ops Project Mgt 1, to support the Director of Division Business Operations/Chief of Staff in Rolling Meadows. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives across cost, schedule, and quality by leveraging advanced analytics, continuous improvement, and effective project management practices.

You’ll work directly with NT&S executive staff and functional leaders across the division, providing essential project oversight, driving strategic capital investment planning, and shaping key operational rhythms. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, has a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, and brings a forward-thinking, collaborative mindset. This is a full-time on-site position.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Capital Planning & Execution**

+ Lead all aspects of capital investment planning and execution for the division.

+ Oversee forecasting, reporting, and project performance metrics via SIMPL, Fast Track tools.

+ Interface with Business Units and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic CapEx execution.

+ Coordinate long-range strategic planning (LRSP) capital alignment and prioritization activities with Division leadership.

+ Maintain Division Resource Board governance and cross functional coordination

+ Support Sector Resource Board requirements and analysis aligned with Division’s LRSP and CapEx strategy to drive favorable top line allocations for NT&S.

+ Drive improvements in capital project initiation, automation, and data visualization.

+ Develop and deliver Division-wide capital workshops and learning resources.

**Facilities Planning**

+ Guide facility investment and space planning in collaboration with Facilities, Operations, and Engineering teams.

+ Support the implementation of workplace optimization initiatives in alignment with enterprise and division goals.

**Digital Transformation & Analytics**

+ Serve as Division focal point for DTO-related initiatives impacting capital tools and processes.

+ Lead coordination with the Mission Systems Data Analytics team on dashboards, SOOs, and KPIs.

+ Facilitate NT&S Business Operations Community of Practice to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

**Division Operations & Business Rhythm**

+ Set and manage division-wide business rhythms, including meetings, reviews, and key events.

+ Anticipate and manage deliverables and presentations for Sector and Corporate forums.

+ Coordinate division-level reporting of operating objectives and non-financial metrics.

+ Support key Division events including executive site visits, Division Days, and leadership webcasts.

**Strategic Communications & SharePoint Oversight**

+ Support the Director in developing executive communications, messaging, and briefing materials for internal and external leadership.

+ Maintain and evolve the NT&S Business Operations SharePoint site, including user permissions and content strategy.

**Ad Hoc Projects & Special Initiatives**

+ Lead cross-functional initiatives and high-priority projects to improve division performance.

+ Analyze and synthesize data in support of business planning, strategic goals, and ad hoc data calls.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree + 3 years of experience, or PhD.

+ Demonstrated project management experience with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.

+ Experience with financial planning, reporting systems, and performance tracking.

+ Ability to build strong working relationships across functions and levels.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

+ U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

+ Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

+ PMI/PMP Certification.

+ Data analytics experience with tools such as Tableau

+ Experience with Northrop Grumman systems, processes, and culture.

+ Demonstrated success in continuous improvement or change management projects.

+ Experience managing people or leading cross-functional teams.

+ Strong strategic thinking and autonomous decision-making capability.

+ Familiarity with capital project tools (e.g., SIMPL, Fast Track) and business rhythm management.

Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $153,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
